Ordinary Time

In Uncategorized on January 9, 2010 at 11:56 pm

Today is one of those days that I wish my journal weren’t public.  I had a minor freak-out today, starting when I couldn’t figure out what to do with the remaining few weeks of my vacation after my parents leave.  That led me to question this year, and from there to the rest of my life.

I went to Mass this evening.  We’re back to the music from Ordinary Time, which as familiar as Chinese liturgical music gets for me.  I saw my new foreign Chinese-Mass companion, Andrea, and we made plans to hang out and go to Mass together.  Fr. Cai (#1) came in after Mass and gave me my name seal, carved out of a pretty hefty chunk of rock.  I played piano afterwards and it soothed my soul.

I’m feeling better now and looking forward to baking with my Chinese friend tomorrow!

  1. You know, you’re just supposed to take things one day at a time. Just look at how great every day has been! Surely all the other days will be just as great. Relax and enjoy! And know you are loved.
